Bangladesh News: Hindu Man Shot Dead Inside Bangladesh Garment Factory

Notably, Bajendra Biswas was an Ansar member deployed for factory security and he was the son of Pobitra Biswas and hailed from Kadirpur village in Sylhet Sadar.
The incident took place at a garment factory located in the Mymensingh region. According to police officials, both the victim and the accused were on duty when the shooting occurred. The accused, also a security staff member, allegedly fired a government-issued firearm inside the factory premises.
Initial reports suggest that the gun went off during an act of negligence. Investigators believe the accused was handling the weapon carelessly when it discharged. The bullet struck Bajendra Biswas, causing severe injuries. Co-workers immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Earlier, on December 18, another Hindu youth, Dipu Chandra Das, was lynched near Dhaka over alleged blasphemy claims.
Police sources said that Bajendra Biswas was around 40 years old and belonged to the Hindu minority community. He was known among colleagues as a quiet and hardworking person. His sudden death has left his family in deep shock and grief. Family members have demanded strict punishment for the accused and better protection for workers.
The accused co-worker was arrested shortly after the incident. Police also seized the firearm used in the shooting. A case has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing.
