बुधवार, 28 जनवरी 2026 को महाराष्ट्र ने एक अचानक हुई त्रासदी का सामना किया। उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार, उम्र 66 वर्ष, पुणे जिले के बारामती हवाई अड्डे के पास एक विमान दुर्घटना में निधन हो गया। यह घटना सुबह हुई जब उनका चार्टर्ड विमान उतरने की कोशिश कर रहा था। उनके साथ पाँच अन्य लोग भी अपनी जान गंवा बैठे।

यह छोटा विमान, एक लियरजेट 45, मुंबई से बारामती जा रहा था। रिपोर्टों के अनुसार विमान रनवे के पास पहुँचते ही दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया। टक्कर बहुत तेज थी और विमान तुरंत आग की लपटों में घिर गया। बचाव दल तुरंत मौके पर पहुँचा, लेकिन कोई भी जीवित नहीं बचा।

नागरिक उड्डयन महानिदेशालय (DGCA) ने हादसे की पुष्टि की और तात्कालिक जांच की घोषणा की। विमान दुर्घटना जांच ब्यूरो (AAIB) भी जांच में शामिल हो गया है। अधिकारी तकनीकी खराबी, मौसम की स्थिति और पायलट की कार्रवाई की जाँच करेंगे। शुरुआती रिपोर्टों में कहा गया है कि विमान उड़ान योग्य था, लेकिन असली कारण अभी अज्ञात है।

अधिकारियों के अनुसार, VI-SSK के रूप में पंजीकृत विमान ने सबसे पहले सुबह 8.18 बजे बारामती एटीसी से संपर्क स्थापित किया। अगला संपर्क तब हुआ जब विमान हवाई अड्डे की ओर 30 समुद्री मील की दूरी पर था।

On Saturday, December 20, 2025, at least seven wild elephants were killed when a high-speed passenger train hit a herd in the Hojai district of Assam in northeast India. One young elephant was also injured in the collision, say officials and police. This tragic event has drawn attention to ongoing clashes between India’s railways and its wildlife. The accident happened early on Saturday morning at about 2:17 a.m. The Delhi-bound Sairang–New Delhi Rajdhani Express was traveling through a forested area in central Assam when it struck the elephants. Railway officials said the train was moving at normal speed when the herd was seen crossing the tracks. The driver tried to apply emergency brakes, but it was too late.

Local Forest Department staff and railway officers reached the site soon after the crash. They found seven elephants dead near the railway line. The injured calf was taken for medical care. Authorities are now looking after the young elephant and have begun a probe to understand what happened.

The force of the impact was strong enough to derail the locomotive and five coaches of the Rajdhani Express. जानकारों का कहना है कि आने वाले महीनों में भारत-अमेरिका व्यापार समझौते पर बातचीत तेज हो सकती है, लेकिन GM फसलों का मुद्दा लंबे समय तक बातचीत का सबसे कठिन अध्याय बना रह सकता है। भारत इस मामले में फिलहाल अपने रुख पर कायम है और संकेत साफ हैं कि GM फसलों पर कोई जल्दबाज़ी वाला फैसला नहीं लिया जाएगा।

मामले से जुड़े एक सूत्र ने बिज़नेसलाइन को बताया,
“अमेरिकी किसान बंपर फसल, चीन के साथ व्यापारिक तनाव और ब्राजील जैसे देशों से बढ़ती प्रतिस्पर्धा के कारण जूझ रहे हैं। ट्रंप प्रशासन भारत को एक बड़ा और अहम वैकल्पिक बाजार मानता है, जिससे ‘MAGA’ समर्थक किसानों को राहत दी जा सके। यही वजह है कि अमेरिकी वार्ताकार मक्का, सोया और अन्य कृषि उत्पादों के लिए भारत में ज्यादा बाजार पहुंच की मांग कर रहे हैं।”

हालांकि, नई दिल्ली ने वॉशिंगटन को बार-बार साफ कर दिया है कि वह अमेरिका से सोया और मक्का आयात करने की स्थिति में नहीं है, क्योंकि ये फसलें GM हैं और भारत में GM फसलों पर प्रतिबंध है। अमेरिका इस समय भारत का सबसे बड़ा व्यापारिक साझेदार है, लेकिन इस मुद्दे पर भारत ने सख्त रुख अपनाया हुआ है।

सूत्र ने आगे कहा,
“भारत के लिए अमेरिका से नॉन-GM सोया और मक्का खरीदना भी मुश्किल है, क्योंकि कुल अमेरिकी उत्पादन में इनकी हिस्सेदारी बहुत कम है और इनके लिए अलग से सही तरीके की सेग्रेगेशन व्यवस्था मौजूद नहीं है। यह भारत के लिए एक रेड लाइन है और देश केवल नॉन-GM किस्में ही खरीद सकता है।”

फिलहाल, GM फसलों के मुद्दे पर भारत अपने फैसले पर अडिग है और साफ संकेत दे चुका है कि इस मामले में कोई समझौता आसान नहीं होगा।
